Well the Hogs beat me to it. As I have been the victim in the past of other owners saying "I'll come back to you" I go out of my way to solicit the best possible offers for trades. It's in the best interest of my team and the league. This is what really happened, apologies to the Buckos and Pirates revisionist histories:
Last week I put out a league wide email, Unit on the block. I was immediately contacted by two teams, Hogs and Bees. Nobody else. After players were discussed I contacted the Creepers, Pirates, and Buckos. All teams that I figured had interest. The Creepers made an offer. The Pirates did not, and also indicated that the two players I wanted were not available. The Buckos made what may have been the most insulting offer I have ever received. I will not repeat it
here. This all happened last Thurs and Fri. By Fri. the Bees had put together a substantial offer. I informed each of the above teams that the Unit would be traded and did they have a best
offer. The Hogs made several additional offers, the last of which almost made me switch. The Creepers made a few more offers, the Pirates did not respond and the Buckos upped their F offer to an F+.
So I did the deal. Looking back can anybody say I didn't get the best deal? Do you people not
have my cell number, email, work and business #? If you really want the guy contact me, the only teams who seemed genuinely interested were the Hogs and Bees. In the end, the Bees just made the best offer, deal with it. BTW Harden shat the bed last night in his first Brewer start, if that makes you feel better.
