In a first for the CARP league, an off-season deal was completed tonight in
which one of the CARP owners was hospitalized. Hooked to an IV, cell phone
and blackberry, GM Hirsch of the Pirates would not let a runaway infection
stop his quest for the CARP Cup.
The Pirates have sent Matt Riley (SP Balt) and Delmon Young (OF TB) to the
Cap City Brewers in exchange for Danys Baez (RP TB).
GM Hirsch celebrated the deal with a sponge bath from his male nurse.

He obviously was heavily drugged. Worst Trade Ever, seriously.
Isn't LaTour involved in every crappy trade ever made in CARP?
Jesus Frickin Christ, all you owners who live in glass houses, I'm talking to you Bees and Buckos, shut the hell up. As I remember the Buckos gave away Crawford for a bag of magic beans and just 2 years ago the Bees gave me Carlos Lee for Cory Lidle. So worst trade ever? Not even close, take a look in the mirror.
That is not an accurate recall of the Lee trade.
At the very least, a really, really bad trade
Not accurate?
It was Lidle for Lee straight up. Who else do you think was involved?
I'm out of the hospital and fully prepared to defend this trade. bring it on.
It has taken me this long to even realize there was a running conversation going on. Mardi Gras, CARP!
yeah, i didn't know everybody was blogging here too. good job wolfie.
latour, your trades are more lopsided more often than anybody else in the league. Your notorious 01 trade -- after everyone else had left tampa -- goes down as one of the most egregious trades of all time. It single handedly awarded Wolfie the cup (although he nearly screwed it up) and came as close to blowing up the league as any single act in CARP ever has.
